Boerne Ordinance Could Make Changes to Water Quality Requirements

Boerne is tightening requirements when it comes to stormwater management. The Boerne Star reported an ordinance approved last week addresses stream setbacks and water quality and makes requirements apply to developments inside city limits as well as the city’s extra territorial jurisdiction (ETJ). The ordinance cracks down on runoff from sites, but it could be as simple as adding gutters and a downspout from a roof to divert water from neighboring properties. Developers also have to measure upstream impact under the new ordinance.
