Kerrville Looks for Ways to Help Homeless Population

A workshop this week for Kerrville City Council members centered on homelessness and how to help. The Salvation Army is one resource, but Council member Delayne Sigerman said there are somewhere between six to 12 people without homes in total in any given month in Kerrville and more than twenty five thousand in Texas. In Kerrville, the homeless population includes people who have aged out of the foster care system and don’t have the proper paperwork to get a job. City leaders in Kerrville are looking at ways to provide more resources, and encourage volunteers to get involved.
