Land Annexation Approved for New School

The city of Kerrville okayed plans to annex middle school property this week. Mayor Bill Blackburn wanted to wait for a traffic study to be done on the 35-acre property, but other city council members voted in favor of the annexation and it passed. The Daily Times reported the KISD intends to build a new middle school on the property with bond funds approved last year. Groundbreaking for the school is set to take place in September and the new middle school should be finished in May 2021.
