Make Sure Kids Have Vaccinations for School

Now it the time to make sure the kids are up to date on vaccines as they head back to school. The Texas minimum state vaccine requirements for students from kindergarten to 12th grade include shots for Tdap, polio, hepatitis A and B, meningitis and chicken pox. Parents can file for an exemption, and that has to be notarized every two years. Most of the requirements are for elementary-aged kids, but there are some vaccines that are needed for ages 12 and above.
